Indeed, there is an equivalent defined stage between all the players and clubs, whatever the player's position, country, league of the club and related age category may be.
In this manner, a 17 year-old French player graded at the R5 stage and a Turkish adults’ team also graded at the R5 stage are considered as being at the same level, and then likely to be interested in each other. On the other hand, a club playing in a Spanish Premier league will not automatically be put in touch with a player from the highest division in Switzerland, due to the difference in level between these two leagues.
The stage at which a player is graded and his particular position on the field determine the targets to be reached in the varying domains, in order to pass on to the next stage. For example within the physical domain, a forward graded at the R5 stage must attain specific results in terms of speed in order to reach the R4 stage, while the endurance target aspect is more important for a holding midfielder from the same level. If both players reach their own targets in the different domains, they will be considered as being able to play for an R4-level team, and new targets will then be assigned in order for them to continue and reach the next stage.
It is important to note that adapting the targets according to the field position sometimes allows the substitution of a player at a different position than his usual one, where he could possibly be much more efficient.
